GOVERNANCE OF THE LODGE
NATIONAL: Is governed by an Executive Board of Directors and a Board of Trustees. The Directors are comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, 2nd Vice President, Sergeant at Arms, the Immediate Past President and Chairman of the Trustees. The Board of Trustees is comprised of one Trustee from each state in the nation. In addition a bi-annual conference is held whereby each local lodge may send one delegate to the conference for every 50 members in that lodge. These delegates direct the Board of Directors and Trustees on how to conduct lodge business in between conferences. Funding is generated by a Per Capita Tax (dues charged each local lodge per member) and various fundraising projects.

Funding is generated by a Per Capita Tax(dues charged each Regional lodge) and various fundraising projects.
REGIONAL: is governed by a Board of Directors and a Board of Trustees. The Board of Directors consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer, The State Trustee and the Sergeant at Arms. The Board of Trustees is comprised of a trustee from each of the six counties in the Region and a Trustee retired law enforcement officers. In addition two general membership meetings are held annually and at those meetings each member of the FOP represents themselves if they desire to attend. . Funding is generated by Membership Dues and various fundraising projects.
COUNTY-WIDE and LOCAL AGENCY CHAPTERS: In order to provide complete autonomy to the members of the FOP in each county or in cases where a particular agency has a minimum of ten members in their respective department and has formed their own agency chapter the Regional FOP is broken down into agency or county-wide chapters. Funding for these chapters to hold their own meetings (be it a social get together or meeting to address a particular issue at work), direct their own business and other affairs is done by appropriations by the Regional Lodge. Dues are not charged by the local or county chapters. Applicants for membership are automatically assigned to these chapters dependent upon where they join from.
